Gilles Meese

Based in Paris, Gilles Meese joined Canec in 1999 to reinforce and develop its European presence.

Gilles has both transatlantic experience and cross-border knowledge within Europe. His on-the-ground experience in France, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Italy and Spain is indispensible to Canec’s European operations. He further leads the firm’s operations in Eastern Europe and China.

With a background in international finance and industry, Gilles facilitates transactions in the automotive, aerospace, packaging and fluid-handling sectors, as well as in the food and nutraceutical ingredient industry; he is very familiar with both plastics and metal processing technologies.

Prior to joining Canec, Gilles held successive international executive positions in corporate banking (3 years in New York with a French bank), in manufacturing (10 years with exposure to Europe, North-America and Africa) and real estate development (5 years as CEO of UK and Spanish subsidiaries of a large French developer.)

Gilles graduated from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and from Paris Dauphine University in Business Administration.
